Wolf Tooth was first to market with cyclocross 1x specific chainrings because we saw cyclocross as the perfect use for our Drop-Stop® technology. Since their release, the uses for these rings has expanded beyond cyclocross to commuting, gravel riding, and even full on-road applications with the giant 52t rings. - Fits 130 BCD 5 arm cranksets - Drop-Stop technology. On Wolf Tooth’s patented wide/narrow chainring, the wide side of the tooth has maximum contact on the drive side which spreads the load and improves chainring life. A major benefit of the oval is how the shape of the chainring alters your gearing in two important phases of your pedal stroke by harnessing your body’s natural biomechanics. Here’s how it works. The area of the chainring with the larger diameter engages with the chain at the optimal point on the downstroke, which is what’s known as the Power Zone. If you were to look at a clock, the Power Zone would be between 1-5 and 7-11. Conversely, the Recovery Zone – back to the clock face, between 11-1 and 5-7 – is the weakest part of the pedal stroke, when the oval maximizes your efficiency. A 34T oval chainring behaves like a 36T chainring when you want power while behaving like a 32T chainring when you’re climbing. The Wolf Tooth ReMote Pro is the most adjustable and refined dropper lever. It can be moved laterally along the handlebar and rotated around the handlebar as can be done with all dropper levers, while also allowing for 48 deg of rotation to set the lever starting point, independent of cable tension – no other dropper lever allows for this to be adjusted. ReMote Pro also has a cable pulley with a cam (oval) shape that provides more leverage at the beginning of the lever throw; this is when dropper posts need more force to open the fluid reservoir valve that allows the post to move.
